When is our regional competition?

Our regional competition will be 10-11 May, 2019.

When does registration open and close?

Registration dates for the 2019 MATE Russia - Far East Regional ROV Competition have not yet been set. Please keep an eye on the registration page for more details.

Where will the regional competition be held?

Our regional event will be held at Maritime State University:

How many teams can a mentor bring to compete?

There are no limits on how many teams a mentor can bring.

Can we bring spectators to the competition? Are there any rules about who can spectate?

Yes! Spectators are welcome!

What time does the event start?

Competition will run from 10AM to 5PM

What time is team check-in?

Check-in begins at 10AM, 10 May

When are our Company Spec Sheets and SIDs due, and where should we submit them?

Company spec sheets should be emailed to the regional coordinator and are due by 5PM on Friday 3 May.

What is the depth of the competition pool?

Pool depth ranges from 2 – 4.6 meters.

Are there any pool missions listed in the class manuals that will be excluded from our regional?

No.

Do we need to supply our own power supply for our ROV?

Teams are encouraged to bring their own power supplies..

Will there be monitors for us to use at the competition?

No, teams must supply their own monitors.

Will there be food served at the event? Is there a fee for food?

Participants and spectators should provide their own food during the competition.

Something has gone horribly wrong and we can’t compete. How do we cancel?

Please contact your regional coordinator as soon as possible. Please note, there are no refunds on registration fees; nor can they be applied to future competitions.
